Mexican Food Market
The photos I shared from the flower market for Mother's Day only told half the story - the other side had a bounty of fresh, local, mostly-healthy foods, many of which I actually recognized. I haven't yet found my writing mojo since landing back in Minnesota, but please enjoy another visual walk through this Mexican food market.
Note: When they use a $ sign, it's actually referring to Mexican pesos. $1 US = 18 pesos. So the $25/kilo fruit below (not sure if it's the oranges or the papaya) is actually $1.38/kilogram, or $0.63 per pound. I suppose that low price explains the mysterious proclamation above it: "How wonderful that this nightmare is over!"
